Update from 2020:

We are extremely grateful to have received a generous grant in July 2020 from The Oregon Community Foundation for $10,000 to provide music education scholarships to students, and for general operating support!

The majority of PROWUS’ 2020 budget went towards May 2020 scholarships where we were happy to provide $4,500 in music scholarships. Due to Covid-19, we are working to provide additional scholarship opportunities for students, opening up an additional round for August 2020, and continue with our November scholarships in the fall. PROWUS is also reaching out to more music programs to widen the range of students to which we can provide scholarships. We have also purchased a new banner for future events.

Goals for 2021: Recruiting new board members is a critical goal for us in 2021, with Board of Director elections scheduled for our November meeting. While we welcome volunteers in all areas, we especially need help with scholarship coordination. Please use the form on the Contact page if you are interested in volunteering.
